Welcome

We are a small, nurturing school hidden away at the end of a culdesac. This means we are exposed to very low pollution from passing traffic and enjoy a consistently peaceful environment. We feel passionately that we should know every single child in the school, and how we can make their time at Kingsmoor a success, understanding that we only get one chance in this phase of education.

Our facilities include a recently refurbished computing suite with a digital teaching screen, interactive 'Clevertouch' boards in all classrooms, a well stocked and child friendly library, two playgrounds, a forest area and extensive playing fields.

As well as covering all of the national curriculum stipulations in a creative, topic based approach we enrich the children's experience at Kingsmoor with a strong focus on the arts and sports. We are members of th Redborne Sports Partnership which opens up a range of competitive and non competitive events which we do our very best to ensure that at some point, in each child's time at Kingsmoor, they will attend.

Children achieve well at Kingsmoor, they feel safe, happy and want to learn.  We have an active PTA who fund additional events such as a quality pantomime visit to the school annually and more recently an antibullying workshop visit to the school.

Our website aims to give you a taster of our school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for.  Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

If you would like a paper copy of any of the documents on our website, please contact the school office.

Warm regards,

Caroline Jenkins

(Head Teacher)

Dear Parents / Carers,

One of the core functions of the governing body is to ensure clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction. Over the course of this academic year, governors have been working with Mrs Jenkins and her staff team to review and refresh our school’s vision. It’s been a collaborative effort, taking into account the things that different stakeholders believe are important.

We’re delighted to now be able to reveal a new vision for Kingsmoor Lower School, which we believe encapsulates both who we are and what we hope to be.

Our vision is to open up every opportunity for all members of our Kingsmoor community.

This vision is built around four core values: valuing wellbeing, inspiring curiosity, building resilience, and encouraging aspiration.

A vision statement is a living thing, which we as a school should embody in everything we do. Our new vision will drive our ethos and priorities, and shape the direction we take as we step into our future. The full vision document, which expands on how we see it being lived out, can be found on the school website.

Best regards,

Rev. Tim Diaper

 (Chair of Governors)
